People like dealing with locally-owned businesses and Tyreworld Richmond is just that … independently owned and operated, and not part of some sprawling, impersonal franchise. This gives Daryl and his team the flexibility to really focus on the individual needs of each customer. It also means they are not locked into a small number of specific brands but instead can offer customers a wide choice of tyres and other services. Drawing upon more than four decades of collective experience in the tyre business, these guys ensure they match the right tyres to the needs of each particular vehicle at a price to suit the customer’s budget.

The Team

Hayley brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role as owner and manager of Tyreworld Richmond. She is also responsible for the clean, crisp look of the business: no cluttered shop floor with guys hanging around in greasy, oil-stained overalls. Instead, these approachable professionals wear smart casual clothes and work in a light, bright, modern space.

Tim is another expert technician with tyres and alignments. He’s really into BMWs. He has about half a dozen, mainly older models, and with his knowledge of the brand he has come to be regarded as something of a BMW guru. An additional bonus for Beemer drivers when they visit Tyreworld Richmond!

Chris has been doing wheel alignments for 20 years and is the go-to guy for alignments on this team. Having properly aligned wheels is especially important given the steep camber on many New Zealand roads. Once Chris has worked his magic, your vehicle will drive straighter than ever, there will be less wear on the tyres and you’ll also get better mileage. Chris’s own car is a Mazda 6 Atenza, sharpened up with mag wheels … beautifully aligned, of course!

Dean has been on the team about three years and has the skills to pitch in and help in all aspects of the business. Away from work he enjoys the great outdoors in the Top of the South, especially hunting and mountain-biking.
